Just run the alien OS from the ground up if you're really into it. Common hardware is more than powerful enough to 'emulate' entire virtual machines. While I do use Linux daily at work and at home (and not due to lack of funds but out of preference), I'm certainly willing to admit it lacks much in commercial software wine is option for some of them, but it's a hack and may not work 100%.
